No preliminary cheat sheets provided or updates unless you want to pay more. I addressed this on Twitter with Joe directly and he blocked me. Buyer beware. Others might cost a little more but you get what you pay for (I’ve learned my lesson)!
This is my 2nd year - and had become a "must have". Unlike some resources that are all numbers - this actually is an enjoyable read. This year's version even including some valuable tips for those wanting to "run the show". The ONLY complaint, and, because of the quality of writing, not worth a deduction, would be page numbers. Keep up the good work.
Never thought Pisapia could top last years book, but I think he did it !!!!!Only 9 weeks til my first draft. Can't wait to crush it with the Black Book !!!!
It's hard to find "new takes" on fantasy baseball that are actually helpful. This is the first I've read in a couple years. Yes, I have podcasts and websites I follow, but I generally don't go near yearly magazines or books, because they're out of date by the time they're published.This book is the exception to the rule. It's so good, I may go buy earlier versions just for the general draft advice.Highly recommended!
I have been looking through this now for a couple weeks as I start to prepare for my drafts. This is a great resource for the upcoming season! The contributors and analysis into each position is very insightful and this book even covers some other fantasy baseball topics such as being the commish in a league, auction, DFS strategies, etc... A very good all around book for the upcoming baseball season. The info is all fresh compared to some of the other fantasy baseball magazines that are the first to head the shelves. Will be back next year!
I read a ton of fantasy baseball books, but this one separated itself from the pack right away and got me thinking about fantasy team construction and drafting in a completely new way. I am really excited about heading into my drafts this season with an advantage on my league mates. Relative Positional Value is the stuff of championships.
As a first time FBB player this book was immensely helpful getting me up to speed on formats, rules, players, and strategies. Have been referring to it often in preparing and revising my Cheat Sheet, added player notes from the book, and getting ready for my drafts. Can't recommend this book highly enough!
Love this series and all it’s insight. Joe and his team give excellent analysis to the players we want to know about. This book has shaped the way I navigate fantasy baseball. In my opinion this book is crucial to any fantasy baseball enthusiast to be successful.
