The book is interesting because it not only covers her biography but also her impact in popular culture, literature, theatre, movies. However the book is much too brief to be really useful and the pictures included appears to have been lifted off Evita's Wikipedia article and the internet with not much thought going into the finished product. Maybe this one works better as a Kindle book because as a soft-cover book, it looks like a brochure.Her biography is to the point but much too brief and the same can be said about the sections dealing with her influence in other mediums. The author gives us some good information and some of the feedback and opinions provided are pretty thought out and enlightening, but again, too brief. Also there are numerous other examples that could have been included as Eva Peron was a woman who's life, career and legend have presented themselves in several movies, books, plays. For instance, in film, the author only discusses Alan Parker's cinematic version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical "Evita" and Juan Carlos DeSanzo's "Eva Peron" both released in 1996. How about the other films that have been based or loosely based on her life? For instance, the mini-series "Evita Peron" starring Faye Dunaway or Radley Metzger's "Little Mother". The latter is interesting because it was released several years before the musical and despite the film being based on "the Black Myth" and the names of the characters were changed and it is mostly fantasy, it was clearly inspired by Evita. It would have been interesting to read the author's views of this piece of work. Recently there have been several films, mini-series released in other parts of the world dealing with the subject matter that also could have been either reviewed or listed such as the Argentine film "Juan y Eva" (2011) and the Spanish mini-series "Carta a Eva" (2012).In theatre, he discusses "Eva Peron de COPI", a play in which Eva is played by a man in drag and Monica Ottino's "Eva y Victoria". I have not seen either plays so this section of the book, although short, is interesting. There was an obscure play called "The Diamond Orchid" from the mid-sixties that was based loosely on her life but it has since disappeared into oblivion. I would have liked to learn more about this elusive play but it appears it is destined to remain forgotten.Although the book contains interesting content, there is much more the author could have explored and the overall layout of the book is disappointing. The font I found too small for such a small book. Maybe with better and clearer photographic reproductions, bigger font, and more content, this could have been an excellent book as the author clearly had a lot to say and this, to me, looks like a missed opportunity. File this one under the numerous books released of Eva Peron that seems rushed and will forever remain behind much better efforts such as those written by Maryssa Navarro, Julie M Taylor, Alicia Dujovne Ortiz and Tomas Eloy Martinez.3 stars for the effort, but it could have been so much better.

I love these Charles River books. There are times when I do not feel like starting a long bio about someone and these books perfect for those times. They are short but most definitely interesting and informative. Good job Charles River Editors!!

This was an interesting book. My only complaint is that I wish it had focused a little more on Evita's personal life, and a little less on the political end of things. I guess I can't complain very much though, since politics were such a big part of her life.

No waltzing around with pregnant sentences and paragraphs containing unimportant asides. Straight forward and informative. You feel like you know the woman and her motivations. Peron would not have Peron without his Evita.

Here is the true story of former Argentine first lady Eva Peron. Those who only know her from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will learn the true facts of her life.

Written with a candid and sometimes jaundiced eye the author does a good job at uncovering Eva Peron's agenda with a solid attempt to look at what motivated her machinations.

I had expectations this book would go into detail of the medical equipment that came about because of her, how everything that had her name on it in hospitals was destroyed when the military took over, the housing programs she established etc but no this book went on about stupid plays and musicals written about her post mortem. Who cares? I want to read about this remarkable woman not this drivel . Very disappointing and a waste of time.

Got this for fun. I'm in process of training a homeless dog for service dog. If he fails I'm going to at least have a helper around the house. The instructions are really aimed for starting with a young dog or puppy. I am using this to help supplement what I am doing with service dog training. It has a lot of tips, training techniques and such. It is written where any age dog can be taught with patience. It goes into detail for many things I want my service dog to do. Especially details on getting items like phone, and such are nice and clear. I am rating this 4 because there is supposed to be a recipe portion in book. That did not show up with my download.

We've been trying to train our dog properly for a while now but it really has been hard going. This book is already starting to help, just after a week of buying it!What we've done now is go back to some of the basics and started to follow the 'Basic Obedience Commands' section of the book, we've already had very positive results. It's nice when these instuctions are explained in a way that everyone can understand, that's where this guide really does well.The book is well laid out and very easy going on the reader. Training a dog properly can be slow going but this guide explains how to proceed, at your (and your dogs!) own pace.Can't wait to move on to the more advanced sections, such as 'Fetch' and 'Entertaining Dog Tricks', well worth a read if you want to train your dog well.

Dog Training is a nice book with some great dog tricks! This book includes everything from basics tricks like sitting and laying down to more advanced tricks like how to take a bow. If you would like to train an obedient dog this you will most defiantly enjoy this book. This book is well written and presented in way that is very easy to understand.

Wish for photos and 1 2 3 kind of training steps. Yet, it was done well.

The author used an easy and clear step by step method to training your dog to respond to commands and do tricks.

Perfect book. Simply written for the beginner, easy to follow and execute. We are learning and doing so much!! Making training fun!

Storytelling makes an emotional appeal to grab the reader and Mission in a Bottle does that even more effectively than would have been the case had Seth and Barry used a classic business book approach. I particularly enjoyed the way they described the turning down of the offer from Nestlé and the acceptance of the one from Coke. It displayed the company's strategy in a way that is not 'fluff', the term of disapprobation used by Richard Rumelt (Good Strategy Bad Strategy: The Difference and Why It Matters) for so many weak strategy statements.Entrepreneurship students (I teach both entrepreneurship and strategy on an MBA program) would do well to read this book very carefully, as much for what the authors do not say about the entrepreneurial adventure. I told Barry that i was likely to use the book as a set text on my course next year. So I must have liked it a lot.There are so many theories of entrepreneurship and for every one there are examples of its disproof, While I do make some general statements about what works, each case is different. That's what makes Mission in a Bottle so appealing, because the reader can draw on very specific case material, and realize that, for example, the issues in soft drink distribution do not apply in other sectors, but the 'moral' of the story can still be drawn.I wish I had read Mission in a Bottle before I wrote my ebook, Telling StartUp Stories: Keep the End in Mind, since Mission in a Bottle is one of the best examples of startup storytelling I have ever encountered.

Very enlightening. I found myself empathizing with the authors, appreciating their efforts and their mission to change the world through a small drink business. Proving that consumers care about quality. While reading I was learning from their mistakes and mentally taking notes about their strengths and ideals.I found the graphic novel format to be a much more approachable format to tell their story. The art was well-done, and used to enhance the story with visuals, but not in any way distracting. This is not the type of book I normally read, but due to its uniqueness compared to other business books, I was intrigued. This book has helped me understand the day-to-day struggles of being an entrepreneur, and about the rewards for the ones who can overcome them.Highly recommend it for upcoming entrepreneurs and young, impressionable minds who enjoy graphic novels. I believe the best way to get a child to read this, is to read it in front of them, and let their curiosity get the best of them.

I learned so much from reading this, not just about Honest Tea's inspiring history, but also about the business of start-ups. Don't let the graphic format fool you: while this is indeed a very fun read, it's a business book and a very insightful one at that. Highly recommend.

As other reviewers have noted, the Kindle Editon is unreadable due to the complete lack of formatting.The book is written in graphic novel form, and the text is too small to read. On my iPhone, the book is completely unreadable. On my kindle, you are able to enlarge the image panels by double tapping them, however the smaller text is still too small to read.I managed to slog through half the book, skipping over most of the text and mostly just looking at the pictures. The only thing I have to show for the experience is sore eyes. Complete waste of time.

in the late 90's I lived a few blocks from the Honest Tea offices. At the time they were just a small local company struggling to carve out a niche against giant brands like Snapple.Fast forward to 2014 and they are now owned by Coca-Cola, but still focused on being a company for change- organic teas, fair trade labor standards, and a culture that promotes doing the right thing along with being profitable. They didn't shortchange their values for a quick dollar.What the authors manage to do is tell that story in an amazingly enjoyable way. Yes, there are struggles, mistakes, moments when the future of the company is on the brink. But it's told in such a way that it becomes a page turning 'mystery' instead of a dry, dull business book.The graphic novel format the authors chose makes it even more enjoyable to read and the graphics are beautiful and only add to the story.Don't be fooled by the beautiful artwork- this is a real business book with hard learned lessons, failures, successes, tough choices and everything that makes a great business success story.If you're not familiar with the Honest Tea line of products- find some. If you're not familiar with the decade long story of 'the little tea company that could'- read this book and enjoy.

This is an interesting little animated book about iced tea. I read it as part of a business course. I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging it was, even if it did feel a little forced at times.

I loved this book. Completely different than any other business book. Written mostly in a graphical novel (comic book) format, but don't be alarmed, this really works. And the writing style and message are both terrific. Two thumbs up.

Can't put this book down! I have taken so many notes and started marking it up for ideas. If you are serious about creating a start up and especially in the food and beverage industry, this book is a must read.
