First, to be absolutely clear Stardust Crusaders is PART 3 of Hirohiko Araki's amazing manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. There are two parts before this: Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency (in that order) but they haven't been available in English until very recently. A hardbound series is being released which has covered Phantom Blood and is starting Battle Tendency in the volume to be released tomorrow. You can either find the first two parts elsewhere or you can watch the anime series which is faithful to those parts storywise (and is a great watch to boot). There is also an anime adaptation of Stardust Crusaders but I highly recommend the manga because of its clever use of the medium with inventive panelling and amusing design. JoJo is a unique story filled with brutal fights, over the top poses, razor-sharp masculine humor and some of the most interesting characters you'll meet.

An interesting installment of Stardust Crusaders, the opening act with Justice is a somewhat creepy encounter with an unusual foe. But the latter chapters against The Lovers and The Sun felt less exciting overall. Stand users coming after Jotaro's band piecemeal just seems to drain a lot of the danger out of the journey. I'd say this is a 4 out of 5 star installment. Especially coming off the more hard hitting Part 2.I'm also taking a star off however, because for whatever reason this volume of Jojo's Kindle edition doesn't provide a ComiXology version as well. This isn't a deal breaker, but all of the Jojo volumes prior have had dual Kindle/ComiXology provided. This is generally good because Amazon has better digital pricing then ComiXology, and ComiXology's App is generally better for comic reading. I hope this is an oversight and not a trend.

My son LOVES this series. This was a gift for Christmas & it sure didnt disappoint! It was in perfect condition. Couldn't be more pleased

Fantastic volume, hilarious as it is the chapters where they highlighted some of the bigger humor points of Stardust Crusaders.

The continued adventures of Jotaro Kujo and his companions are not to be missed. Visiting such exotic locales as Calcutta, and facing such devious and unpredictable enemies as Soul Sacrifice and his Ebony Devil, and the John Carpenter-esque Yellow Temperance, the journey to find the vampire Dio (\m/) continues. Araki's sharp writing and deft use of suspense is top notch.Get in on this series.

Can't get enough Thomas books in our house right now. This one has a weak story line but the characters are very interesting and new to my son.

Grandson loves Thomas the train.....this not so much.

Anything Thomas is always good. Our grandsons liked the idea of Thomas being so kind .

My 3.6 yr old has watched the movie a few times and with this book can get the whole story in a short amount of time. He loves listening to this book.

My son loved the film so I had to get the book! A must have!

I love the picture on the front and thought it would show that project, nope!Once it's in your library, the front picture's changed to a super easy beading project that's still not in the book!This is your VERY basic beading book that starts you at the process. Don't go by the picture on the front and know it doesn't have many projects...smh

The information is very, very basic. The photos are very bad resolution, very small, and many are distorted. The projects that really could use reference photos have none at all. This looks and feels like desktop publishing by an amateur. There are a lot of books on Amazon with much better information for less money.

I purchased this book and was very disappointed in it. The bracelet on the front wasn't even in the book and her other book is the same book with just a different title and picture on the front also which isn't in the book. Very misleading and not worth it!

This book is definitely for beginners. It breaks down all the tools you will need to make your jewelry as well as the sizes & gauges of wire to use. It is a very helpful book for someone who has never made jewelry before. My only disappointment is that it doesn't show how to make the bracelet on the cover. That is the real reason I purchased this book. Other than that, it's a pretty good book to have for references.

Detailed pictures of the tools needed and the step by step instructions for the craft make this a fantastic teaching book. The author explains what tools are needed and where to purchase them. The steps to making the components for the jewelry are clearly outlined with photos that can be enlarged. After you learn the basics easy projects to get you started are also included. The book is packed full of good useful information and I highly recommend buying if you are interested in learning this craft.

I regret spending a buck on this book....too basic and not what I expected. Don't waste your time. I got more from the free kindle books.

I referenced this book countless times during our road trip to South Dakota; it covers enough of the basics to ensure you won't miss the big stuff (like Mount Rushmore, Badlands, etc.) and includes many hidden gems. We stopped at the US Geological Survey, where we were welcomed by staff who were somewhat surprised we came to visit but warmly encouraged us to explore the interactive displays of satellite images of our planet. We chatted with a contractor who patiently and enthusiastically answered our many questions and encouraged our kids to consider a career working for the USGS! On to Rapid City, where we explored the above-mentioned big sites with what felt like an insider's perspective thanks to McClintick's recommendations and tips. Restaurant recommendations were helpful in finding a place that fit our taste and budget.Although I read through other sections, I mainly used the Southeastern South Dakota and the Western South Dakota sections; they are dog-eared with use! Loved this book and loved our vacation even more! Highly recommended!

I just returned from an absolutely wonderful vacation through South Dakota (focusing on the Black Hills, but with a day reserved for the Badlands). I am very glad I got this book while in the planning stages -- I got to see some really interesting and beautiful things I otherwise would have missed. I have since passed it along to friends who are on their way to South Dakota now. While many of the attractions mentioned in the book are not "off the beaten path," they do provide a starting point for further research, giving initial descriptions and pricing to help you sift through what things may or may not be worth your time.

Exactly the info I need. Presents the 2 states area by area , giving attractions , towns with features including sights , restaurants and places to spend the night. The info detail on every attraction is exactly what I want - all I need but not too much detail. Presents a map of each area , again with the correct amount of detail for me.

I mean, what else can I say? This is really the only travel guide to the Dakotas that exists. All the others are specialized, usually around Mount Rushmore or the Badlands. This one has a much more comprehensive scope, but for those looking for a REALLY detailed guide to this under-appreciated area, you're left wanting.

Great backroads guide to the Dakotas. Roadtrip necessity if you're driving that area

For any fan of history, biography, and, of course, James Bond, this is a must read. Loftis presents the story of Dusko Popov, Ian Fleming's model for the character of James Bond. As you read this story, you'll feel as if you are right in the middle of a Bond thriller... except everything here actually happened. I'd heard snippets of the Popov story from other WWII books I'd read, so was aware of who he was and his relationship to Ian Fleming. But that's all that I'd had on him - snippets. This book tells his full story. Loftis' narrative, as mentioned, reads like a Bond novel so you'll never be bogged down and the pace will keep you turning the page. Maybe more interesting than his exploits in WWII is the post-war chapter of his life. This one was well worth the read!

Just fabulous, riveting and quite informative. Hollywood/Ian Fleming could never reproduce even a fictional story that would rival the true life story of Dusko Popov. Simply remarkable was his continued willingness to place himself in among those who would vaporize him in a moment if discovered. Such steely nerves. Book is bit difficult for the first few chapters, but they do lay the ground work for an exciting and captivating 2nd half. Found interesting the information presented regarding the (still) dysfunctional FBI and that truly dangerous/repugnant person: J. Edgar Hoover. Similar to the revelations about Hoover contained in Betty Metzger's book 'The Burglary'; her book on the Media, PA burglary of the local FBI office during the Vietnam protest period. The stark contrast between someone like Dusko Popov and the Brits vs Hoover & the FBI is simply staggering. All that aside, hang in there through the first part of the book, it rewards you as you move on.

This book is really insightful and exceptionally well researched. I take one star because at times it is excruciatingly detailed, and hard to follow. There are some paragraphs where the storyline is so intricate, the actors so diverse (referred by their code names - which keep changing for the same person, given many are double agents with names from both sides) that it's very hard to keep the pace.That said, the author does a very good job at telling the story of this agent, his family, his work during WW2 and the nuances and espionage anecdotes that took place in Europe during the war. The story links very well to key events in the war such as the Japanese' attack on Pearl Harbor and D-Day invasion of Normandy. I won't spoil it, so I will just say it was really amazing to read about Dusko Popov's role and work with the FBI and US officials prior to the US entering the war.

This is a must read! This book has all of the authority and research for the serious scholar. At the same time, Loftis has composed a story with a writing style reserved for truly gifted story tellers. The story of Dusko Popov is as compelling as it is fascinating. Loftis delivers a thriller without compromising historical accuracy. Documented with previously classified materials, Popov’s story demonstrates how truth can be better than fiction. Don't miss the experience and enjoyment of this book! Kudos to Larry Loftis for re-introducing us to one of the unsung heroes of the Allied cause.

My time, like yours, is precious. That said, this book is absolutely worth every minute it takes to read! Wonderfully researched and written! I am a 30 year retired Naval Officer and I found all of the World War II (lead up to the war and during the war) accounts riveting and worthy of a resounding WOW! This is a great idea for a gift and Christmas is not that far off! ;)

Dull. Granular-level minutiae from cover-to-cover. Overblown descriptions of emotions diminish credibility. The author acknowledges a reviewer who helped clarify the plethora of numbers, dates, events, and characters, but he should have asked for another editorial pass because it is a slog through Byzantium.

Did not think this book was that great. Not that the subject matter was not interesting, but the telling was tedious-almost a stream of consciousness of one event, letter and\ or incident without any unifying story line. And the James Bond connection was tenuous and a small part of the book(which was not as advertised).

This book reads like a work of fiction. The REAL true story of Dusko Popov - a spy with such a compelling history will keep you engaged Page after page. The end of chapter leaves you hanging wanting more and more.This book will inspire you to dive deeper into this era of time, the era of true espionage. Larry Loftis does a fantastic job of taking the reader into each setting, all over the globe. The story of Dusko’s interaction with J. Edgar Hoover to me was the most interesting.If you are a fan of WWII novels, espionage, history, or just a thrilling read, this book is for you.
